Arrive in Almaty city
Meet your guide at the airport. Drive to your hotel room for quick check in and short rest. After hour you may start your Almaty city tour. First stop will be at the Park Named After Panfilov’s 28 Guardsmen. This park is one of the oldest in Almaty, where the Holy Ascension Cathedral is located (Almaty’s oldest standing cathedral ), which is the most iconic building in the city. In the park you will also see the WW II memorial and Afghanistan War memorial, dedicated to the memory of fighters who died for the freedom and independence of the country. After a welcome lunch, take a short drive to Shimbulak, where you’ll visit the ski resort and ride the cable car to enjoy amazing views of the snowy peaks of the Tian Shan Mountains and visit Kok Tobe to have incredible view to Almaty city. Return to the Hotel at the end of the day and enjoy your dinner.
Issyk Lake and Turgen Gorge
At the morning your driver and guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby and start driving to Issyk lake. The best way to start this day is by visiting Issyk Museum on the way. Issyk is rich for many archeological sites and mounds. Here was found burials of the Golden Man which later became symbol of Kazakhstan’s liberty. Issyk is a picturesque, alpine lake surrounded by unusually beautiful nature of dense forests and wide flower fields. The lake is located at an altitude of 1760 meters above sea level, at the Issyk gorge of the Zailiysky Alatau, about 70 km east of Almaty. After 25km of driving you will reach Turgen Gorge at Ile-Alatau National Park. This precious pearl of land is located only 90km away from Almaty city. Place features with gorgeous Waterfall (Bear Fall). This is ideal place to enjoy the beauty of nature. Drive back to Almaty and by the evening arrive at your hotel.
Daily visit Charyn Сanyon
At the morning after meet your guide and driver at the lobby of your hotel. Drive to The Charyn Canyon that stretches 154km along the Charyn River (one of the deepest rivers of the Northern Tien Shan mountains). Wind, water and sand sculpted Charyn’s red sandstone to form its shapes and shades. Some of the cliffs resemble particular figures, which is why some parts of the canyon are also called the “Valley of Castles”, the Witch’s Gorge, and the Ghosts Gorge. Place is ideal for hiking around and photos. Enjoy the views of natural formed cliffs. By the evening drive back to Almaty city and stay at your Hotel.
Almaty – Shymkent – Turkestan
Meet your driver and guide at the lobby of your hotel and drive directly to local airport to take a flight to Shymkyent city. From the airport of Shymkent you will drive to Turkestan city. Turkistan is ancient city and has the status capital of all Turkic nations in the world. Visit the Hilvet Semi underground mosque, and a hammam, as well as seeing a fragment of the fortress wall and the gates of the old citadel. Visit Otrar region In addition to exploring the archaeological site of this ancient oasis settlement, visit the local history museum and the Mausoleum of Arystan-Bab (Khoja Ahmed Yasawi’s teacher and spiritual mentor).
Turkestan – Shymkent – Almaty
Drive to Kemekalgan Village and do short visit of monument. The monument is located 45 km from the city of Shymkent,along the Shymkent-Tashkent highway.The panorama from the monument is charming. People talk 50 legends about the holiness of this mountain. According to local legend, the prophet Nuh (Noah) stuck to the mountain of the same name two thousand years ago, and not to Ararat at all, as many have long claimed. Later drive directly Shymkent airport and take a flight back to Almaty city. From Almaty airport meet your driver and transfer to your Hotel.
